Federal Minister for Financial Affairs Hammad Azhar has stated that Pakistan stays dedicated to early completion of its Monetary Motion Activity Pressure (FATF) motion plan, because the plenary conferences of the worldwide watchdog are scheduled to start from February 16, 2020, in Paris.

FATF’s 5 day Plenary and Working Group conferences are scheduled to be held in Paris from February 16 -23, 2020. Pakistan shall be judged within the assembly on the idea of the Joint Group’s report, concluded final month.
Azhar, who led a Pakistani delegation in the course of the three-day talks with the FATF in Beijing final month had acknowledged that Pakistan has made important progress in the direction of combating cash laundering and terror financing, however it’s untimely to take a position on the choice that FATF members will take within the plenary in February.
”Pakistan authorities have labored very onerous over the months & I really feel we now have made important progress in our AML/CFT efforts. We stay dedicated to sustaining this momentum,” he added.
