The Level 7 diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies is for new and experienced aesthetic injectors who work with Botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. It was created by the most recent aesthetic medicine guidelines, allowing practitioners to give the greatest level of patient and client care at all stages of cosmetic injectable delivery. Health Education England released two papers in January 2016 intended at enhancing, standardizing, and regulating the training given to practitioners who do non-surgical cosmetic procedures like Botox, dermal fillers, chemical peels, and laser treatments.
Part Two of the 2016 HEE standards stated that practitioners must obtain this Level 7 diploma by September 2018. Although it is not a legal obligation, Level 7 licensed practitioners will have the option of joining a registry that will allow the public to verify their aesthetic qualifications.
Derma Medical offers an Ofqual-accredited modular three-stage program. This Level 7diploma in Clinical Aesthetic Injectable Therapies complies with all HEE requirements and is appropriate for both new and seasoned practitioners. With policies for Recognition of Prior Learning, there are several entrance points based on your level of experience (RPL).
Non-Surgical Aesthetics Market
The aesthetics industry’s exponential expansion over the last two decades has required a closer examination of the laws and regulations governing the provision of cosmetic treatments. Moving toward a regulated, certified certification in injectables is a significant step toward standardizing aesthetic training and treatment. The OFQUAL-regulated Level 7 Diploma in Injectables is quickly becoming the Gold Standard certification in the UK for doctors, dentists, and nurses.
In a potentially profitable field like face aesthetics, earning a practical, regulated, and well recognized post-graduate level certification like the Level 7 Diploma in Injectables provides graduates a competitive edge and makes graduates more appealing to both employers and patients.
Looking ahead, it appears that there will be more regulation and standards in medical aesthetics. The Joint Council for Cosmetic Practitioners (JCCP) has developed a roster of certified aesthetic practitioners that members of the public interested in non-surgical aesthetic treatments can access. Attempts to make dermal filler a prescription-only drug are among the other areas of activity in the subject.
Regardless of how the government and regulatory authorities respond to changes in societal and industry trends, there will be a clear trend toward increased regulation, transparency, and professional regulatory body engagement in non-surgical cosmetic treatment offering. The Level 7 Diploma in Injectables reflects part of the trend toward pushing up standards in the aesthetics sector as the new Gold Standard in medical aesthetic training for healthcare professionals of all levels of experience.
